LBR Staff Writer Published 23 May 2016

Kuehne + Nagel has received a two-year contract to manage CNH Industrial’s agricultural and commercial vehicle spare parts supply chain requirements in Shanghai, China.

Located in Fengxian of Shanghai, the 2,550m² non-bonded logistics centre will be used to support CNH Industrial's domestic distribution requirements across the country.

Kuehne + Nagel will provide effective logistics centre solution for CNH Industrial by consolidating its two separate business operations into one single distribution centre.

The company will implement IT systems to improve transparency and monitor the operational performance.

Kuehne + Nagel director Peer Rasmussen said: "We are very pleased that CNH Industrial has selected Kuehne + Nagel to manage their parts facility in Shanghai. We will focus on delivering operational excellence to support CNH Industrial even better serve its Chinese customers.

"This new contract is a result of our growth strategy in China and a further milestone in expanding the long-term global relationship between the Kuehne + Nagel Group and CNH Industrial."

Earlier this year, Kuehne + Nagel opened a new Singapore Logistics Hub, with an investment of around $100m.

Situated in the west of Singapore, the new 50,000m² facility has been developed to provide services for the firm's customers operating within Singapore and the ASEAN countries.

Kuehne + Nagel provides seafreight, airfreight, contract logistics and overland business services in around 100 countries.
