ACS&T extends contract with Delta Foods

ACS&T Logistics has signed a deal to extend its partnership with Delta Foods, an importer to the food service sector.

As per the deal, ACS&T will continue to receive palletised goods for Delta from its suppliers in the UK, Europe and Asia, before providing picking and distribution to customers throughout the UK and Ireland.

The company said that the new multi-year deal is an extension of a service that has been in place since 2006.

ACS&T sales and commercial director Carl Robinson said the company is pleased to have extended its working relationship with Delta with another long term deal.

"Despite challenging trading conditions, our commitment to providing an unbeatable service to all our customers is paying dividends, and we have signed several large, multi-year contracts over the last few months," Robinson said.

"We aim to continue this policy of sustainable growth by forming long-lasting relationships with our customers, based on a flexible, dependable service that can be developed in line with our customers' businesses."

Delta which is established in 1986 specialises in importing chicken and processed whole muscle chicken products from across the world for the UK food service industry.

Delta Foods MD Bill Wallace said ACS&T have proved to be a reliable logistics partner, and delivered a quality service throughout the company's working relationship.

"We are in the process of launching several new products, and are confident that ACS&T will continue to provide dependable support and responsive distribution to our customers as we develop and expand," Wallace said.

ACS&T which is the UK-based provider of temperature controlled storage, temperature controlled distribution, food packing to the food industry, operates from four centres in Grimsby, Wolverhampton, Tewkesbury and Scarborough.
