Abu Dhabi Ports launches second phase of Kizad Logistics Park

LBR Staff Writer Published 24 May 2016

Abu Dhabi Ports and Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad) have launched second phase of Kizad Logistics Park (KLP), a non free zone warehousing facility.

Under the second phase of the project, Kizad will construct 64 modular warehouse units, which will be handed over to tenants by the third quarter of this year.

Once the second phase completes, the project will include 105 warehouse units with around 118,965m² of space.

KLP warehouses, which are each installed with 7m clear height to eaves on a 1.3m raised floor level, feature loading areas, ramp access and designated on-site parking.

Each unit includes an area of 1,133m² with a mezzanine office and larger units can be created by removing internal walls.

Kizad chief operating officer Mana Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla said: "Kizad's development follows a demand-driven approach; responding to the needs of the market and designing flexible solutions accordingly.

"The 41 warehouses in Phase 1 were 83% leased prior to construction being completed and 100% leased a few months after that.

"Since then the need for more high-quality warehousing units has encouraged us to start building Phase 2 of KLP."
